Payments and settlements

What it is

Records that a payout, stablecoin settlement or on-chain payment happened, checked against the chain where Proof Rail has a connector.

Who it's for

Payment platforms, stablecoin services and exchanges that want to give customers proof of a payment.

Steps
  1. Create the record through the API when the payment happens, or ask with the request form at proofrail.me/#claim (choose Payment or Stablecoin settlement).
  2. For an on-chain payment, include the transaction. Proof Rail checks it on the chain.
  3. Proof Rail issues the record with a public page, QR code and signature.
  4. Share the record with the person who was paid, or link to it from your own product.
In plain words
Connector
A built-in check against a source, such as a blockchain or an exchange.
Example
  • Example data, not a real record: "A stablecoin settlement on Base, checked on chain".
What you'll see
Screenshot to come
A record showing the payment, the chain it was checked on and when.
Good to know
  • Where no connector exists, the record says the payment was reported, not checked.
  • It proves the payment happened as recorded. It does not prove what the payment was for.
